The Wellness Edit: Robin Reetz

Robin Reetz — brand strategist and editorial director — chats with Norba about the little rituals she never skips, the passions and obsessions that currently light her up, her love language, and the qualities she cherishes most in herself. In this conversation, she opens a window into the habits, inspirations, and values that guide her, sharing not just her professional vision but the heart behind it.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

- The very first thing I do when I wake up is feed my dog, Lola—she’s quite persistent. After that, I make myself a coffee and start to get ready for the day.

One small ritual you never skip?

- Skincare. Aside from the obvious benefits, I find the routine of doing my skincare in the mornings and evenings helps me slow down and feel present. I put on a podcast and luxuriate for a moment…it really is the small things.

Your workout time: AM or PM?

-  As much as I would love to be an early workout person, my body just isn’t awake enough yet to get the full experience. On weekends, I like it late morning or around lunchtime; otherwise, it’s late afternoon or early evening.

What’s your current obsession?

- Fall fashion, female designers, social services that help the most vulnerable in society, movies, and good heels.

How do you come back to yourself when you feel off?

- Being alone! My alone time is very important, and I need a lot of it to recharge. I consider myself an introvert and find social situations enjoyable but tiring, so I love nothing more than lying on my bed, curled up, just relaxing.

What do you value most in yourself?

-  Kindness, respecting others, and a belief that everyone should be treated the same. My parents instilled this in me at an early age, and I find it extremely important.

One thing you’ve learned to love about your body?

-   I’ve always wanted a smaller chest for many reasons, but I have learned to appreciate it and the shape it gives me.

What’s your love language with yourself?

-   Caring for myself and what I need physically and emotionally. I’m not obsessive, but I'm very conscious of eating well, working out, and staying hydrated and well-rested—I feel endlessly better when I do, and I'm able to show up better for others in that way.

A belief or mindset that’s guiding you right now?

-    The belief that you never know what others are going through. It’s such a hard time in the world right now, so I think it’s important to extend a little empathy to others when we can.

Finish the sentence: I feel most at home in my body when…

-   I feel most at home in my body when I’ve been working out regularly. Over time, I’ve learned there’s nothing that feels better than feeling strong in your body—it’s such a gift to be able to practice some form of movement, and I try not to take it for granted.

Robin chose the Strappy Bralette and the Lounge Shorts in ivory from Norba.
