Meet Lisa O’Connor — a mother, wellness enthusiast, and a founder of @radiancematcha, whose daily life is rooted in mindful rituals, movement, and a deep reconnection to both body and creativity.
In this conversation with Norba, she shares the small practices she never skips, her current obsessions, what she has come to value most in herself, and the beliefs and mindsets that are quietly guiding her through this chapter of life — one shaped by motherhood, strength, and a renewed sense of creative energy.
- Kiss and cuddle my daughter, Vera, drink water and then my husband brings me a hot matcha in bed, as he is usually up around 4 am.
- Hard to pick one, so I will name three: movement, matcha, and skincare.
- Whenever I can fit it in with a toddler! Before having her, I was very into morning movement; now it doesn’t matter what time of day it is, as long as I can fit it in. This past month, it has been four days a week, as I now have a little support with her during the week for a few hours. Prior to that, I was getting in about two workouts a week.
- Being creative and getting into lifting heavier weights. After having Vera, I really felt kind of numb creatively. I think it was a combination of so many things, but I’m really feeling lit up in a new way, and getting back into creative projects and work.
After only lifting about three pounds and doing Pilates forever, I have started strength training this month for the first time ever, and I absolutely love it. I didn’t do it for so long as I didn’t want to “bulk”, but honestly, my only goal with my body now being a mother is strength, longevity and vitality.
- Nature, alone time, movement, hot shower.
- My tenacity and grounded nature.
- Its strength and my naturally more muscular nature.
- Taking care of my body, mind and soul. I used to be quite ill with a “chronic” illness for over a decade, so my health, vitality, nervous system health and body are things I love and value like no other.
- Choose to see the beauty in the little things, and life will become even more incredible than you imagined.
- I am at the beach at sunrise or sunset with my husband and daughter, surrounded by their love and the love of Mama Earth.
