The Wellness Edit: London Guide

In December, every big city seems to move faster than usual — and London perhaps most of all. The year rushes towards its end as people race to tick off their to-do lists, buy Christmas gifts, and complete everything they didn’t quite manage to fit into the past twelve months. Yet sometimes what’s truly needed is the opposite: to slow down, take a deep breath, and allow yourself a proper pause — even if only for a few days.

With this in mind, Norba’s co-founders and sisters, Olga and Lena, created a London Guide for the Norba community and for everyone seeking harmony, inner balance, and a slower pace amid the year’s end rush — a thoughtfully curated list of places to pause, restore, and reset.

From self-care spaces to selected restaurants for true food lovers, this guide offers moments of calm, indulgence, and inspiration — helping you reconnect with yourself and experience the city at a gentler pace.

SPORT

  • Nobu Pilates

Address: 22 Portman Square, Marylebone

The blend of classical Pilates, enriched with dynamic techniques, uses the Reformer, Tower, and Chairs to create a full-body workout. What we love most is how personal it feels. With no more than 10 people per session, the instructors genuinely see, correct, and guide you. You still enjoy the group atmosphere, but with individual attention that truly makes a difference.

  • The Life Centre Notting Hill

Address: 15 Edge Street, Notting Hill

A small local studio with a powerful practice. Beautiful interior and authentic flow. A perfect balance of physical exercise and mindful work. Nearby is the Notting Hill Farmers’ Market, which adds a lovely touch to a Saturday morning. This is our perfect recipe for starting your weekends!

  • KXU

Address: 241 Pavilion Road, Chelsea

This spot offers a variety of classes: HIIT, Strength, Cycle, or Yoga. There’s always something that suits you. After a tough session, it's nice to relax in their medi-spa (the cryosauna is excellent). And the nutrition bar is ideal for grabbing a smoothie or a quick bite before heading out — we love it!

  • Hyde Park

London is rich with gardens, parks, and green spaces. But the perfect place to go for a run, enjoy some forest bathing within the city, or have a relaxed Sunday picnic is definitely Hyde Park.

SELF-CARE

  • Martine de Richeville

Address: 11 Elvaston Place, South Kensington

Osteopathic Pilates practice led by Dipa Trivedi. It truly works miracles on your back, especially if you have scoliosis, and enhances performance during our regular workout sessions.

  • Ayanna Spa

Address: 146 Holland Park Ave, Kensington

Deep tissue and express facial massage — a great choice if you need to relax and reset your mind.

  • Kama Ayurveda

Address: 207 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill

If you're in the mood to escape the rush and enjoy some tranquillity, the Indian Ayurvedic beauty store and spa is an excellent choice, especially when you're craving Shirodhara or an oily Ayurvedic massage.

  • Bodyism

Address: 10 Stratford Place, Marylebone

Nice deep tissue massage.

FOOD SPOTS

  • Granger&Co.

Address: Notting Hill, Chelsea, Marylebone and King’s Cross

Offers casual all-day dining with a comfort-food focus and a superb weekend brunch. Look out for straightforward dishes, like the signature ricotta hotcakes or the full Aussie breakfast. The no-reservation policy means you'll likely have to wait, but it's definitely worth it. We love spending our mornings there!

  • Ottolenghi

Address: A big chain in London

A famous Mediterranean deli with excellent takeaway options. Highly recommend!

  • Bodyism

Address: 10 Stratford Place, Marylebone

A private-membership club specialising in Pilates, yoga, and ballet, offering a wide selection of healthy meals and drinks. While membership is required to participate in the workouts, anyone can visit for breakfast or lunch. Ordering a substantial bowl and people-watching in Notting Hill is genuinely part of the experience.

SHOPPING

  • Daylesford

Address: Notting Hill, Chelsea and Pimlico

The Cotswolds is a renowned region in the UK known for its farm produce, gardening, and the very cosy, out-of-the-big-city way of living. This sport features organic food from Cotswolds farms — no need to travel far to enjoy the countryside in a capital.

  • OhMyCream

Address: Notting Hill, Chelsea, Clapham, Marylebone, Islington and Shoreditch

A haven for clean beauty with an excellent selection of skincare brands.

  • Daunts Books

Address: Kensington, Notting Hill, Marylebone and City

Whenever you're in the mood for some intellectual shopping, visiting a bookstore is always a great choice.
